Welcome to the DDC

The Dallas Depression Center at UT Southwestern combines clinical care, basic research in animal models, translational clinical research in genetics and functional brain imaging and treatment research across the entire age span with a special focus on treatment resistant, chronic, or recurrent depressions — the most disabling form of the disorder. The aim of the DDC is to further our understanding of the biological basis of mood disorders, to develop improved treatment options and treatment delivery methods, to develop preventive measures for these illnesses and build a state of the art treatment center for patients with mood disorders at UT Southwestern.

The Dallas Depression Center is one of the preeminent facilities in the nation, and a recognized center of excellence for research and treatment of mood disorders across the life cycle with a special emphasis on Treatment Resistant Mood Disorders (TRMD).
